Our Coaches
At Wolvercote CC we are proud to have a team of highly qualified coaches who have a wealth of experience. Many of our club coaches are also available for private 1:1 coaching.
Nick Pinhol
I joined the club at the age of 16. At the time the club only had two adult teams and didn’t have a youth section. Since then we have not looked back, with the club having an ever-growing youth set-up, four adult teams, and youth players transitioning to adult cricket each year. I studied Sports Management at University, and my day job sees me work and sit on the board at Oxfordshire Cricket as Operations Director, as well as a county age group coach amongst other roles. I am a ECB Advanced Coach (Level 3)
Roles at the club: Youth Team Coach, Club Safeguarding Officer
Brian George
Having joined the club one random weekend in 2004, at the age of 14, to play adult cricket with some school friends, I have never looked back. I have seen the club grow from strength to strength, coming from one adult team in division 5 of the OCA to where it is today.
I am especially proud to see the growth of the youth teams at Wolvercote and playing alongside some of the individuals that joined the youth team from its inception.
Roles at the club: Second Team Captain, Social Secretary, Youth Team Coach.
Sam Payne
I joined the club in 2015 aged 15. I have been part of the club throughout its growth. When I joined Wolvercote had 2 teams and no youth setup. I completed my Level 2 Coaching course in 2018 and have been a lead coach ever since. I completed my history degree last summer and I am now training to be a secondary school teacher.
Roles at the club: Safeguarding Officer, Fixture Secretary, Selection Secretary, Coach.
